Andrew Halcro – President
After thirty years of helping grow two large successful family businesses and over fifteen years of being involved in public policy, Andrew founded Halcro Strategies in 2010 to provide companies with an additional insight and expertise to grow their business in a market colored by uncertainty and risk.
He has traveled extensively in his career, representing his companies from New York to Guam. This has given him a world view of the competitive global market combined with a recognized knowledge of federal, state issues and key political decision makers.
Andrew served four years in the Alaska State House of Representatives. He was named Best Majority Lawmaker and Best Business Lawmaker by the prestigious Alaska Legislative Digest in just his second term. He retired in 2003 to run his family business. He continued to be involved in public policy as a Sunday newspaper columnist for the Anchorage Daily News writing about state and local policies.
He has extensive professional education, attending both Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and Harvard Business School where he studied crisis management and leadership best practices. Andrew believes the key to success rests in four steps: Establishing a team relationship with clients, analyzing specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, achieving alignment with the clients then presenting initiatives with performance impact.
Andrew resides in Anchorage with his wife Vicki and daughters Lauren and Alyssa.
